Hi, I’m Kathy Abraham. I’m a Christian teacher, author, and mentor, and my heart is to help women rise into their full potential in Christ Jesus—rooted in Scripture, confident in their identity, and anchored in a deep, abiding relationship with God. My teaching blends biblical depth with practical wisdom, helping women not only understand the Word of God, but live it with clarity, courage, and conviction in everyday life.
I’m the host of The Bible Made Real With Kathy a weekly podcast where I invite women to encounter Scripture as living and active—speaking into real emotions, real relationships, real purpose, and real spiritual growth through clear teaching, personal reflection, and Spirit-led insight.
I’m also the founder of Abiding Light a Christian publishing house dedicated to creating biblically rooted resources that equip women to grow spiritually, think theologically, and live with purpose. Through Abiding Light, I’ve authored books, devotionals, and Bible studies focused on spiritual formation, identity in Christ, and cultivating a deep life with God.
In addition, I’m the founder and director of Daughters of Saint Katherine, a women’s ministry serving churches across the Orthodox Diocese of Los Angeles. Through this ministry, I mentor and disciple women across generations in biblical confidence, spiritual formation, leadership development, and Christ-centered community.
Previously, I served as the Executive Director of a theological school, where I provided academic and strategic leadership and helped guide the institution through the accreditation process. I’m also an alumna of the school, with formal theological training that continues to shape my teaching and discipleship work.
Beyond ministry leadership, I bring extensive interdisciplinary and entrepreneurial experience. Alongside my husband, I co-founded and helped build Orgain, a health and nutrition company, contributing to its growth and leadership over 17 years. I’m trained as a physician assistant and hold a master’s degree in nutrition, integrating clinical knowledge, faith, and leadership with a holistic approach to serving women.
I’m deeply committed to the unity and mission of the global Church. I serve on committees and partner with organizations and initiatives around the world that seek to bridge divides between Christian traditions and foster collaboration across denominations for the sake of the Gospel—an ongoing calling that continues to shape my vision.
I’m also actively engaged in anti–human trafficking efforts, with a growing focus on advocacy, strategic collaboration, and mission development in the Middle East. This work flows from my conviction that the Gospel must be lived out through justice, compassion, and the protection of the most vulnerable.
At the heart of everything I do, my deepest desire is to see women rise in faith, freedom, and fullness—rooted in the truth of Scripture, anchored in the presence of Christ, and confident in their God-given calling.
Verse mapping is my go-to for slowing down in Scripture, studying original context, cross-references, and keywords, and seeing how one verse connects to the bigger story of God’s Word beautifully.
